Thorley Articles in the Herts and Essex Observer

1910-1919

The Rhodes Museum in Bishop's Stortford holds volumes containing original copies of the editions of the Herts & Essex Observer from 1910 to 1923.

I have been transcribing the articles relating to Thorley in these editions as part of a larger project which the museum is undertaking concerning the First World War.

The newspapers for the period from October 1911 to December 1913 and from 1920 onwards are currently undergoing treatment by conservators to ensure that they remain available for the foreseeable future.

The resulting gaps in the transcriptions will be filled once these are returned.
